UnderExposed at Dixon Place

We will be showing an excerpt of our newest work Boys and Girls. We are excited to have a platform to experiment with this new project. It will be funny and entertaining and there will be nudity. This will be the beginning of a long research project into gender and sexuality--looking at movies, media, and books from past and present and politics of current times.

Mapping Ourselves: Advanced CI Lab Weekend for Women

An all-women's contact improvisation lab weekend hosted by Sarah Konner and Shura Baryshnikov at the Peaceable Barn in Redding, Connecticut.

In this advanced laboratory for only women dancers, we will have the opportunity to investigate questions of athleticism, attraction, intimacy, and risk level with our partners. Through a lens of technicality, we will aim to unlock the possibilities of our freest flying, subtle softness, safety, and flirtatious love affairs in our dances together; accessing this form in its fullness with other women.

For intermediate/advanced dancers

Check out the Peaceable Barn website for more details or email WomensCILab@gmail.com if you are interested in joining.

Emi, Amy, and Mimi, the Celebrated Love Partners, and their Bicycle Emi Nomo

A trio in collaboration with Michigan-based choreographer/ performer Amy Chavasse. The trio happens in a world and time created by polyrhythms, original songs and words that mean things other than what they are. Emi Nomo was lost, bells are for lovers, and each of the three have their own version of the story. It is a love story left in the sun too long, that builds to ecstatic highs and collisions.

February 25-26, 2017 at 8pm at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, NY.

Visit Triskelionarts.org for tickets and more information.
